Ramon “Ray” Garcia’s involvement in the wine trade went from restauranter to Wine Trade Consultant for numerous restaurants, private cellars and wineries. What started as a hobby, driven by passion became a business model for excellence.
During my many encounters in the wine and spirits’ trade, I realized that many small to mid size restaurants, bars and shops could not afford the hefty price tag of an on-staff wine director. So, in order to address this concern, I launched Wineanatomy’s winedirectordirect.com monthly wine director program which allows establishments that are involved in the wine and spirits trade to hire the services of an in-house wine director for a reasonable monthly flat fee. This is the first program of its kind, and it has been met with open arms throughout the industry.
As a wine director, knowledge is paramount, so in order to better serve ours client base Ray felt compelled to learn all he could regarding wine, spirits, sake, cigars and the beverage trade as a whole. In furthering his thirst for knowledge, Ray has obtain numerous certifications detailed below:
